While many use low temperatures and falling leaves to mark the arrival of autumn, a coffee drinker knows that the return of the pumpkin spice latte and its other pumpkin-flavored cohorts is the real indicator that the season has changed.

While you’re updating your collection of pumpkin recipes this year, be sure to add a copycat Starbucks pumpkin spice frappuccino to your recipe book. This drink is too good to miss!

WHY SHOULD I MAKE A FRAPPUCCINO AT HOME?

Sure, you could very easily head down to your local coffee shop and order a pumpkin spice frappuccino, but who’s got time to wait in a long line? Plus, frequent coffee runs start to add up quickly, so why not save yourself a few minutes and a little money by making your own?

This copycat recipe is easy to follow and will take hardly any time at all. Besides, we’re willing to bet you’ve got most of these ingredients in your cabinet or refrigerator already. So, grab a blender, and fire up your coffee maker or espresso machine; we’re going to make a pumpkin frappuccino!

MAKE A COPYCAT STARBUCKS PUMPKIN SPICE FRAPPUCCINO AT HOME

Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Recipe

YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of coffee or a shot of espresso
  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1-2 cups of ice
  • Whipped cream
  • A blender

THE RECIPE:

Step 1:

Begin by pouring milk, strong coffee or espresso, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and canned pumpkin puree into a blender, and blend until the ingredients make a creamy mixture. Feel free to use your milk of choice. We used whole milk, but non-dairy milk, like almond milk, works just fine, too.

Step 2:

Add one to two cups of ice, depending on how thick you want the frappuccino to be, and blend until the mixture is thick. Don’t over-blend, though, as you still want your drink to be pourable.

Blended With Ice

Step 3:

Pour the cold blended beverage into a tall glass. Now, it’s time for our favorite part — the topping! Of course, this step is optional, but in our opinion, no frappuccino is complete without it. Finish off the drink with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, and you’re all done!
