Surprisingly, Starbucks Coffee has had several pineapple-flavored drinks come and go from their extensive list of menu options, and with the newest addition being a Starbucks Refreshers flavor, the hype for the tropical drinks is back.

The good thing is, with the addition of a pineapple ingredient, many recipe customizations can be created. This even means some old menu items could be replicated if you’re longing for Starbucks beverages of the past.

Pineapple Drinks That Can Be Ordered at Starbucks

So, jumping right into our list, here are some ways to incorporate a delicious and fruity pineapple and passionfruit flavor into your next Starbucks order for a refreshing and satisfying sip.

Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher

Beginning with drinks that are currently on the menu, the Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher is a newly introduced drink that is also the reason there is a pineapple ingredient on the menu at the time of writing.

This refreshment is made with the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base, water, ice, and freeze-dried diced pineapple pieces. The yellow drink is delicious on its own, but there are some pretty interesting ways you can customize it to create more tropical treats.

Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher Lemonade

One of these ways is also on the menu as the Pineapple Passionfruit Starbucks Refresher Lemonade. By taking the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base, which contains green coffee extract, and shaking it with some tart lemonade, freeze-dried pineapple pieces, and ice, you get a beverage that’s even brighter in flavor.

The citrusy lemonade complements the sweet fruitiness of the Refresher base, creating something perfect for those hot summer days.

Paradise Drink

If you thought the lemonade was a delicious and satisfying sip, the Paradise Drink refresher is even more so. You can’t really get more tropical than this creamy cup of island flavors that basically tastes like piña colada milk.

Made by shaking together the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base, coconut milk, freeze-dried pineapple fruit pieces, and ice, this beverage really takes you on a vacation.

Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade

The last pineapple drink currently on the Starbucks menu is the Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade, which is also another new creation. A sweet and tart frozen treat that combines a range of fruity and tropical flavors, it’s the perfect late-afternoon beverage.

It’s made by blending the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base, lemonade, fresh pineapple pieces, and ice. At the bottom of the drink and around the cup, you also have a nice layer of strawberry puree.

Piña Colada Frappuccino

Moving onto some customer creations, the Piña Colada Frappuccino actually used to be made with the Pineapple Infusion Tea that Starbucks previously had available on their menu. While that is no longer an option, there is still a way you can get this yummy frozen drink.

Start by ordering a Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino and have it made with coconut milk. Ask to add in some of the Pineapple Passionfruit juice base as well as an extra pump of the Crème Base. You could even take it a step further by adding some of the real pineapple fruit pieces to the mix.

Dole Whip Frappuccino

If you’re familiar with the Dole Whip dessert at Disney World, then you know that it’s a soft-serve frozen ice cream treat that features sweet pineapple flavors. It’s no surprise that Starbucks customers have found a way to replicate this delicious creation into a frozen beverage.

The Dole Whip Frappuccino is made by ordering a Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino and having it made with sweet cream instead of regular milk. You’ll also want to add the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base. This creates a drink as sweet and creamy as the infamous Disney dessert.

Iced Pineapple Matcha

Our last pineapple drink option is actually one that used to be on the Starbucks menu. While you can’t order the Ice Pineapple Matcha exactly how it used to be made since the coffee chain no longer carries its pineapple and ginger syrup, you can still get something similar.

Try asking for an Iced Matcha made with coconut milk and adding some of the Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher base to it. It’s definitely not going to taste the same, but if you were a fan of the original drink, we’re sure you’ll also love this creation.
