If you’ve ever spent much time in the kitchen or have walked through a department store’s dreamy housewares department, you know the value and appeal of quality kitchenware. That’s probably why American retailer, Williams Sonoma, has had so much success since its establishment in 1956.
But as you’ve probably guessed, we’re not here to talk about pots and pans. Those are nice, of course, but we are a bit more concerned with Williams Sonoma’s other kinds of kitchenware…the things that keep us at Roasty going both figuratively and literally: coffee makers.
Williams Sonoma has a wide selection of products for every coffee aficionado, and luckily for you, we’ve sorted through them so you don’t have to. Read on to find out more about what this retailer has to offer!
Cuisinart Single Serve 5-Cup Single Serve Coffee Maker
Sometimes, hectic mornings call for brewing coffee for one quickly and efficiently, and Cuisinart’s answer to the Keurig single-serve brewing empire allows you to do just that.
The Cuisinart Single Serve 5-Cup Single Serve Coffee Maker is available through Williams Sonoma, and the K-cup compatible machine brews a 6, 8, or 10-ounce cup of Joe in hardly any time at all. The removable water reservoir holds up to 40 ounces of water, so there’s no need to add water daily unless you’re brewing multiple times.
The silver machine is slim, too, so it will take up very little space on your countertop.
Bodum Chambord French Press
If you love a good French press as much as we do, you’re in luck. The Bodum Chambord French Press is one of the store’s more popular items, and based on the popularity of the Bodum brand, we can understand why so many are rushing out to buy this particular press.
This French press and was first designed in the 1930s, and though its dome shape, inspired by the towers of Chambord Castle, has remained through the decades, now the company has shifted its focus to using environmentally friendly materials.
We have a full review of Bodum’s primary coffee maker, so we won’t spill all the details here, but we will say that if you’ve got the time to spare and are interested in a French coffee press, this may be worth the investment for you.
Aeropress Coffee Maker
Good coffee is a must at all times, and thanks to the Aeropress, there’s no need to sacrifice quality when you’re on the go.
All you’ll need to brew with this convenient little device is hot water, paper filters, and your favorite coffee, and in just a matter of minutes, you’ll be sipping a mug full of caffeinated goodness.
As far as quality coffee makers go, this is a somewhat inexpensive buy through Williams Sonoma, so if this is the first time you’re considering venturing away from your old reliable drip coffee machine or are a frequent traveler looking to up your travel coffee game, this maker may be the one for you.
Williams Sonoma Stainless-Steel Coffee Capsule Espresso Machine
Dear espresso enthusiasts, we could never forget about you, and neither could Williams Sonoma!
That’s why the Williams Sonoma Signature Coffee Capsule Espresso Machine is another one of the retailer’s top sellers. This product is exclusive to Williams Sonoma’s sites and storefronts, so if you go looking for it elsewhere, you’ll be out of luck.
The Italian-inspired machine combines details of manual espresso makers with the ease and convenience of automatic brewers to give you the best of both experiences. The downside? The machine only works with Williams Sonoma Coffee Capsules and pods that are the same size; Nespresso’s Original capsules will work, as well, but Nespresso Vertuo and K-cup pods will not.
Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee Maker & Espresso Machine
Speaking of espresso machines…we’d be remiss to exclude Nespresso’s VertuoPlus from our list.
If you’ve ever even briefly considered purchasing at at-home espresso maker, you’ve heard of Nespresso and know it’s a top choice for those who want shop-quality coffee from the comfort of their own homes. It’s simple, really. Just pop in a Nespresso VertuoLine capsule and fill the 40-ounce water tank, and in a matter of seconds, you’ll be sipping a shot of espresso smooth enough to impress even the most well-trained barista.
Before you add this machine to your cart on the Williams Sonoma website, make sure you know it’s only compatible with Nespresso’s VertuoLine premium capsules, so your options for espresso and coffee may be a bit more limited.
Breville Precision Brewer
If you’ve read our full review of the Breville Precision Brewer, you already know how crazy we are for this coffee maker, so we were pretty psyched to find out it was available at Williams Sonoma.
The price of this drip coffee maker may seem a bit steep, but if you’re looking for something with options for customization, we think this 12-cup machine is worth the buy. This Breville brewer allows you to choose from six brewing modes — fast, gold, strong, over ice, cold brew, or my brew — so there’s something to suit every coffee drinker in your household.
Smeg Drip Coffee Maker
Coming in at a slightly lower price point than the Breville brewer above, the Smeg Drip Coffee Maker has all the convenience of a modern-day machine — like an auto-start feature that lets you wake up to the smell of your favorite coffee brewing — and the retro style of the 1950s.
This coffee maker comes equipped with a warming plate that keeps your java heated for an hour and two aroma settings, Delicate or Intense, to customize your coffee strength.
The size of the pot is a little small, however, so if you need something that’ll satisfy the caffeine needs of multiple people or are more of a “6 cups in one sitting” type of coffee drinker, this may not be the product for you.
Cuisinart Perfectemp 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker
Just in case the Smeg and Breville brewers were out of your price range, we included this little beauty, the Cuisinart Perfectemp 14-Cup Programmable coffee maker.
Williams Sonoma offers this product at a mid-range price, but don’t let that turn you off; remember, a lower price does not necessarily mean lower quality, and this machine is proof of that.
This Cuisinart coffee maker is fully customizable, from temperature settings to brew strength, and to accommodate our more impatient Roasty readers, there’s a Brew Pause feature that allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee before the brewing cycle is finished. Even better? A 24-hour programmability feature means your coffee can be ready to enjoy the second you open your eyes in the morning.
OXO Good Grips Cold Brew Coffee Maker
We’re sure we don’t have to sell you on cold brew. It’s a refreshing, low acidity drink perfect that hits the spot on those hot summer days and every day in between! Skip those long lines at your local coffee shop and make your own at home; we promise, you won’t regret it.
OXO’s Good Grips Cold Brewer works hard so you don’t have to. All you need to do is filter cold water through coarsely ground beans of your choice, and in 12 to 24 hours, you’ll have a rich and delicious chilly coffee concentrate. When it’s time to serve your drink, add water or a milk of your choice, and voila! Your cold brew is served.
This machine includes a 32-ounce glass carafe complete with measurement marks and a stopper with a silicone seal to keep your coffee fresh in the fridge for up to two weeks.
The Chemex coffee maker is an hourglass-shaped carafe made of heat resistant glass and adorned with a wooden collar for a handle. We love this brewing method because it leaves you with a smooth, less bitter beverage that’s perfect for those who prefer a less heavy brew.
Williams Sonoma offers the vessel in 4 different sizes — 3, 6, 8, or 10 cups — depending on the needs of the customer. Once you’ve purchased a Chemex of your own, all you’ll need is a gooseneck kettle, filter squares, and your favorite ground coffee, and you’re ready to begin brewing.
Before you add the Chemex to your cart, make sure you check out our brewing guide to find out how to get the most bang for your buck.
If you’re going to splurge on a new coffee maker, we think it’s only fair that you treat yourself with a few new coffee accessories, too. These are all available through Williams Sonoma, too, so continuing your shopping spree just got a little easier.
OXO On Conical Burr Grinder
Sure, the bag of already ground coffee you picked up at the grocery store makes for a decent brew but imagine how delicious it would be if you had used freshly ground beans. After a quick trip to Williams Sonoma’s storefront or website, you won’t need to imagine; you can experience the quality and goodness for yourself.
The retailer offers a variety of coffee grinders, but one we love is the OXO On Conical Burr Grinder, but be warned: this grinder is a bit on the pricier side, so budget accordingly.
This particular model has a built-in scale, so you can control the size and strength of your brew precisely to the gram. The grinder’s hopper holds 12 ounces of beans and keeps UV rays away from the beans so all of their delicious and flavor-filled natural oils remain intact.
Breville Temp Control Milk Jug
Okay…we know a temperature-controlled milk pitcher isn’t really something you need. But hear us out…wouldn’t it be a fun tool to have? We think so!
Did you know different types of milk foam best at different temperatures? Breville did, and that’s why this 16-ounce, stainless steel pitcher is equipped with an integrated thermometer that displays in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. The jug was even designed with an easy-pour spout, a feature sure to come in handy if you’re still perfecting your latte art.
We hope our guide to our favorite Williams Sonoma coffee makers and accessories encourages you to do a little shopping. The list is not exhaustive, but we think it’s a good place to start and are certain it will inspire your next coffee-related buy.
