A Sweet Treat Latte

If you’ve been following Roasty for a while, you know we love our sweet lattes. From Butterbeer to Gingerbread. to our delicious Creamy Oreo Latte, we love sweet combos for our lattes!

Therefore, we knew we needed to try this salted honey latte for ourselves when we first heard about it. Honey is so sweet, but is rarely what you consider for enhancing your coffee. Tea? Sure, that’s pretty normal. But honey is not the first grab when I have coffee in hand.

In latte form, though, the majority of your drink is cream based, which when combined with the sweet smoothness of honey, is perfection. Milk and honey aren’t a foreign concept, after all.

So, if you add in the espresso and a pinch of salt- wow, the flavors blend perfectly. From bitter and cold to creamy and smooth, this latte really hits all the best points. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Substitutions You Can Make

The really great thing about all our latte recipes is they are incredibly easy to adjust to your own personal taste preference. These act as guidelines for ratios and ideas for exploring your own unique favorites from the comfort of your home.

If you like or need an alternative creamer choice to standard milk, use whatever you like best! We suggest using a non-flavored creamer, otherwise, the taste and vibe of the drink will vary drastically.

We use almond or oat beverages for alternative milk while using whole milk or half and half for dairy.

Fresh espresso will always be the highest quality, but if you want to try this recipe without an espresso machine, you can use pre-made coffee concentrate or instant espresso.

If you don’t have a handheld milk frother, don’t fret! A super easy way to combine your drink while still getting the frothy foam is to shake it in a closed jar for a minute or two.

This will thoroughly mix the honey and salt into your creamer while creating a foamy texture.

Conclusion

We hope you enjoy this delicious latte! If you like it, try out our Iced Biscotti Latte, Iced Honey Vanilla Latte, or Sweet Iced Caramel Latte.
